'Blue Ice' Amsonia is a compact perennial prized for its clusters of rich blue star-shaped flowers in early summer and its attractive dark green foliage. Growing 14–16 inches tall and spreading up to 23 inches wide, it thrives in full sun to part shade and develops excellent golden-yellow fall color. Deer resistant and attractive to butterflies, it is ideal for borders, pollinator gardens, and naturalized plantings.
